Aldo De Oliveira
4th Degree Black Belt
Professor Aldo “Caveirinha” De Oliveira is one of many Brazilians born into a family of modest means amidst a poor community in Rio De Janeiro Brazil. Introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 10, Professor Caveirinha soon realized that BJJ was his calling. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu provided Aldo with one of the few best opportunities in life.
Professor Caveirinha received his Black Belt at the age of 20 and began teaching at his own academy located in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Since then, he has been promoted to 4th degree Black Belt; a level reached by only a handful of Jiu Jitsu masters. Despite a very promising future in competition, Aldo chose to focus on his real passion which is teaching. His passion has led him to cultivate numerous champions and he is still not done yet.
In His Own Words:
In His Own Words:
I started my training 30 years ago with Jean Jacques Machado and Master Carlos Gracie Jr. I remember I trained every day, very hard, for my whole life. In my life I’ve earned over 150 medals and trophies throughout various competitions. Every medal and trophy I get is a diamond for me! I really love fighting; Even now I wish I had more time to fight. My life is busy now because I have a family “a wife and daughter” I have to take care my association and I teach. Last year I attended some tournaments and I had an awesome results; Rio Fall 2015 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and I competed Gi and NoGi I won one gold and one silver medal. American Nationals 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada I competed Gi and no Gi and I got Gold medals in both. World Master 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada and I got third place.
I have all support of my business partner Ryno Irwin, my sponsor Roman Amaguin and my whole team. I hope the Jiu-Jitsu keeps growing in Hawaii and Caveirinha Jiu-Jitsu Family team will become the biggest in Hawaii, that’s my dream. I work hard every day towards this dream. I love people who love Jiu-Jitsu and I hope that that I’ve changed a little bit the fight scene here in Hawaii. I have 200 black belt students, that a record for me because I’m 38 years old. I have affiliates in Europe, Brazil, California and here in Hawaii. I remember 19 years ago I stared to teach in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and 6 years ago I had a great opportunity to come with my family to Hawaii. I’m glad to live here and stay with my CJJF ohana. I train, fight and work for my team and students. Mission given, mission accomplished!
Mahalo & God Bless!
